Encouraging collaboration and innovation: What you can expect at bauma 2019

From Monday 8th April – Sunday 14th April, the industry’s leading trade fair for construction will take place in Munich. Celebrating its 32nd year, bauma will see over half a million visitors from over 200 countries walk through its doors over seven days. The event, which only happens every three years, will bring together leading industry experts and key decision makers, providing a platform for the industry to debate the biggest issues in construction and drive innovation.

At bauma, we will be showcasing our latest developments in Topcon technologies, as well as using the event as a global stage to launch our new innovations. These exciting new technologies will align with five key areas of focus; earthworks, paving, structural health, vertical construction and data management.

Focusing around these topics, our Topcon Meet the Experts programme will give visitors the opportunity to learn more about the biggest challenges impacting the industry in one to one sessions with our very own experts – visitors can register their interest at the Topcon stand infodesk on the opening day.

For those looking to learn more about the latest in earthworks solutions, Construction Regional Business Manager, Andreas Lundback, will discuss how to execute 3D design data with ease, and enhance machine efficiency, including further details on the new drill rig machine control solution.

Karsten Dietrich, director of Business Development, will discuss how Topcon technology and ways of working can be implemented to maximise paving workflow and efficiency as well as revealing some new solutions to the paving portfolio.

Structural health monitoring is a key consideration when it comes to building and maintaining infrastructure, at bauma we’ll be exploring how our technology has been used on some of the biggest infrastructure projects across the globe including the extension to the Paris Metro.

From planning, scheduling and digital jobsites, to ensuring the smooth handover of data, Construction Software Sales Specialist, Duncan McCormick, will discuss our innovative approach to achieving value in planning, scheduling and design on large projects.

As well as providing visitors with the latest updates in Vertical Construction, including workflow, rhythm, steelwork and concrete, we’ll also be launching an innovative new device that will change the entire workflow on construction sites to significantly improve efficiencies.
