Our journey began with a clear vision: to revolutionize how the world works. In 1994, we established Topcon Laser Systems by acquiring an innovator in 2D automation, laying the groundwork for what was to come.
A pivotal moment arrived in 2000 with the acquisition of JPS, a company with unmatched GPS technology. This enabled us to pioneer groundbreaking GNSS solutions, miniaturizing powerful satellite positioning technology into the compact, efficient HiPer GNSS receiver series. This evolution marked our transformation into Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS).
To lead the industry’s shift from 2D to 3D machine control, we consolidated our survey, laser, optical, and GPS technologies. This integration fueled tremendous growth, leading to further expansion into precision agriculture and forged partnerships with major equipment manufacturers, embedding our technology directly into the world’s leading machines.
